What's the difference between payments from sales and payments from Facebook on Marketplace?

To receive payments from sales for your orders sold with shipping, you’ll need to link your PayPal or bank account. To receive payments from Facebook (example: chargebacks, payments from buyer coupons, reimbursements from appeals), you can only link your bank account. Your PayPal account can’t receive payments from Facebook. Learn more about how to use your PayPal account to get paid for shipping on Marketplace.
Payments from Sales
You'll receive payments for your shipped orders to this account. You can link either your PayPal or bank account. Funds will be available in your PayPal account 4 days after delivery confirmation, without the need to wait for bank transfers.
Keep in mind that adding your PayPal account won’t remove your bank account on Marketplace. Learn how to add or change your account information.
Payments from Facebook
You’ll receive payments from Facebook to this account. You can only link your bank account to receive these payments from Facebook. Depending on your bank, please allow 3-5 business days for funds to appear in your account.
Examples of payments from Facebook you may receive on this account:
  • Chargebacks.
  • Payments from coupons.
  • Claim reimbursements.
Keep in mind that you can only issue refunds through Marketplace, not through your PayPal account.
