How do I see someone’s story on Facebook?

You can see stories of people and Pages you follow using the Facebook app or on facebook.com from your computer and mobile browser. You can also see stories of people you’re connected with on Messenger. If a person or Page has shared a story you haven't seen yet, you'll see a blue ring around their profile picture.
Keep in mind that when you see someone's story, they'll be able to tell that you've seen it.
Using the Facebook app
Stories appear in a row at the top of your News Feed. If someone you’re friends with or a Page you follow has posted a story, you can see it by doing any of the following options:
  • Tap their story at the top of News Feed.
  • Go to their profile or Page and tap their profile picture.
  • Tap their profile picture next to a post they've shared in News Feed.
On facebook.com
Stories appear at the top of News Feed on your computer and mobile browser. Tap or click on any story to view it, or use the arrows (computer) or swipe left (mobile) to get to the next screen or story. Tap or click in the top right to exit someone's story and return to News Feed.
You can also view someone’s story by going to their profile or Page, scrolling to their most recent post and tapping or clicking on their profile picture.
Using the Messenger app
Stories can be seen within the Messenger app for iPhone and Android. If someone you’re friends with or connected with on Messenger has posted a story, you can see it.
To see someone’s story on Messenger for Android:
  1. Tap People in the bottom right.
  2. Tap their story.
Swipe down on the screen or tap in the top right to exit someone's story and return to Messenger.
