This feature isn't available in all groups.
Group admins can designate members, admins and moderators as group experts to help people find content by members who are knowledgeable about topics that the group cares about.
Members can accept or decline the role of group expert. If they accept the role, they'll be featured in the Group experts section of the member list, and they'll receive a badge that displays on their posts, comments and group profile. They can choose to hide their group expert badge, although they will still be listed in the Group experts section of the member list.
To make someone a group expert in a group that you admin:
- From your Feed, click Groups in the left menu and select your group. If you can't see Groups, click See more.
- Click Members.
- Select the member that you want to make a group expert, click
and select Add as group expert.
To undo making someone a group expert or to cancel a group expert invitation:
- From your Feed, click Groups in the left menu and select your group. If you can't see Groups, click See more.
- Click Members.
- Select the member, click
and select Remove as group expert or Cancel group expert invitation.
Members won't be notified if they're removed as a group expert.
Admins can still moderate posts and comments by group experts. Admins can also choose to turn off the group expert badge in their group.
Bear in mind that you won't be able to make the following members group experts:
- People who have received more than three Community Standards violations across Facebook within the past 90 days
- Members who have received more than two misinformation violations in that group within the past 90 days
