How do privacy controls change when a minor becomes an adult on Facebook?
When you reach a legal adulthood, we'll notify you that you're now considered an adult on Facebook and that some of the protections we had in place for minors no longer apply. For example:
  • Anyone can message you.
  • You can now have a public search listing and use the tag suggest feature.
  • Additionally, keep in mind that stuff you share to Public can be seen by anyone, on or off of Facebook.
