How are my views of stories on Facebook shared with the story’s creator on Instagram?

Viewing stories created by people on Instagram is only available on the Facebook app for iPhone and Android at this time.
The stories you see on Facebook are created by your friends or the Pages you may be interested in. If one of your friends, or a Page you follow, uses Instagram you may see stories that they share on Instagram. A story’s creator on Instagram can choose to share it to Facebook.
When you view a story on Facebook, the story’s creator can tell that you’ve seen it. If the story’s creator shared it from Instagram to Facebook, your Facebook name and profile can be viewed by the story’s creator on Instagram.
Keep in mind, the story’s creator is the only person who can see that you viewed a story.
