Turn your Active Status on or off on Facebook

You can show that you're active or recently active on this profile by turning on your Active Status.
The settings you choose will be updated everywhere you use Meta products, including where you haven’t yet changed your Active Status. Learn how to turn Active Status off in Messenger.

To turn your Active Status on or off on your computer:
  1. In the top right of Facebook, click messenger.
  2. Next to Chats, click at the top.
  3. Click Active Status, then click to turn your Active Status on or off.
  4. Click Save.
