How to change your Facebook username after your account was compromised

If your account was taken over by someone else, the first thing you'll want to do is to secure it to make sure only you have access. You can do this in one of two ways:
  • Reset your password if you still have access to your account.
  • Follow our guided process to secure your account if you're unable to access your account at all.
Once you've secured your account, you'll also be able to change your username.
