How do I find a particular type of post or activity in my Facebook activity log?

Your activity log displays your Facebook activity (such as posts you created and things you've liked) in chronological order. You can also use filters to help find something specific you're looking for.
To find a specific post or activity in your activity log:

New Facebook
  1. Click in the top right.
  2. Select Settings & Privacy > Activity Log.
  3. Click Filter in the top right of activity log.
  4. From here, you can filter by:
    • Category. Click the circle to the right of a category (like Posts You're Tagged In) that you'd like to review.
    • Year. Select the Year you'd like to review. You can also narrow your results by Month and Category.
Classic Facebook
  1. Click on your profile picture or name in the top left of Facebook to go to your profile.
  2. Click Activity Log in the bottom right of your cover photo.
  3. From here, you can filter by:
    • Category. Click the category on the left side of your activity log (such as Posts You're Tagged In) that you'd like to review.
    • Year. Click on the year you'd like to review in the top right of activity log.
Note: Your activity log results, including results you get when you use a filter, will appear in chronological order.
